Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Austin, TX (Full-time, Onsite)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, reconciliations, payroll processing, and compliance. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Prepare and issue timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
- Prepare and file tax documents and regulatory reports.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes with accurate financial data.
- Reconcile payments and commissions in Salesforce.
- Process payroll and manage vendor/contractor payments and invoices.
- Track compensation plans, bonuses, SPIFs, and true-ups.
- Monitor cash flow, deposits, and prepare cash flow reports.
- Manage collections, accounts receivable, and clawback tracking.
- Track and invoice volume bonuses; follow up on outstanding balances.
- Categorize and report expenses, including credit card transactions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records.
- Support 401(k) administration and related accounting tasks.
- Utilize QuickBooks for financial management and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and accounting systems.
- Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
- CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience in a family office or multi-entity environment is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently.
